Finding A Mentor Postdoctoral mentors are drawn from our research faculty who are also involved in training. To see lists of potential mentors, consult the web pages of the participating faculty on the sites noted below, where you will find descriptions of
research programs of our faculty members.
UCSD School of Medicine Biomedical Sciences: http://biomedsci.ucsd.edu/ Molecular Pathology: http://medicine.ucsd.edu/molpath/ Neurosciences: http://medicine.ucsd.edu/neurosci/index.html San Diego State University Cell & Molecular Biology: http://www.bio.sdsu.edu/cmb/research.html Many applicants write directly to potential mentors and establish mutual interests; doctoral advisors can be helpful here. If you would like help in finding a mentor, Dr. Brunton will be happy to help; write to him at lbrunton@ucsd.edu. If you reach an agreement with a potential mentor before applying to IRACDA, we will need a letter from the proposed mentor as well, describing the proposed work and stating the mentor's agreement to have you in the lab as a trainee and the mentor's understanding of the IRACDA Program. If you are interested to work with other faculty members in the general area of biomedical research at UCSD or SDSU we may be interested to add them to our list of participating faculty; consult Dr. Brunton.
