Control of animal cell proliferation and differentiation. Liver regeneration: humoral control, protooncogenes, stem cells, transplantation.  Chemical hepatocarcinogenesis: carcinogen chemistry, stem cells, oncogenes, carcinogen targeting. Primary hepatocyte cell culture: growth factors, drug metabolism. Gene expression: microsatellites, gene transfer, gene targeting, unusual DNA structure.  Membrane ion fluxes: biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, monoclonal antibodies.
