Of particular interest is the release of neuropeptides and prostanoids from sensory afferents and spinal cord and the receptor systems which regulate this release. Selected Publications: Svensson CI, Fitzsimmons B, Azizi S, Powell HC, Hua XY, Yaksh TL. Spinal p38beta isoform mediates tissue injury-induced hyperalgesia and spinal sensitization.
