Cancer Biology

The Cancer Biology Division is home to an outstanding group of faculty who focus on fundamental questions to bring new insights into understanding cancer as a disease and finding innovative approaches to target it more effectively. This highly collaborative group studies a wide range of cancers including breast cancer, brain cancer, liver cancer, head and neck cancer, pancreatic cancer and leukemia using state of the art technologies and interdisciplinary approaches.  Their work spans basic and translational research with the ultimate goal of bringing new discoveries to the clinic. In addition to its world class research, the division is dedicated to mentoring an exceptional group of students and postdoctoral fellows, and works with the BMS Graduate Program’s Cancer Biology Research Area to  train the next generation of cancer biologists.
